My Favorite Bloggers!

Hello loves!

Today I'm gonna be sharing 3 of my all-time favorite bloggers!  I usually read each of these blogs regularly throughout the week.  Just as a quick disclaimer, I'm not being paid to promote these bloggers and all of these opinions are completely my own.  These girls are so fabulous and deserve a lot of love for their work!

So this first blog is probably my favorite out of the 3!  It is written by theeee most adorable girl names April (her screen name is Jasmine Blu) and she is honestly one of the sweetest girls ever!  I've been lucky enough to talk with her a couple of times through twitter and she's super nice :3  Shes blogs about skincare, fashion, a bit of beauty stuff, and she gives great reviews for a ton of online shopping websites and products!  She shares the same Lush obsession as me and she posts some really amazing homeade face mask recipes and give awesome skincare advice!  Also, her sense of style is sooo adorable and her OOTD's are always the best.  She is an overall HUGE inspiration to me <3  Go give her some love and take a peek at her blog!  She also just started a YouTube channel so go check that out as well!
April's YouTube channel is: Hijasmineblu
&
April's blog URL is: www.jasmineblu.blogspot.com

The next blogger is Zoe or Zoella!  She's from the UK (I'm extremely jealous) and she is the cutest girl EVER!  She is absolutely gorgeous and she has the most beautiful long hair c:  She started out as a blogger and as her readers grew, she started a YouTube channel (which is my personal goal)!  She still blogs often about beauty, fashion, and her everyday life along with keeping up with her YouTube channel which is quite impressive.  Her blog layout is my all-time FAVORITE out of all the blogs I've seen!  Go take a look at her blog and check out her channel! <3

Zoe's main YouTube channel is: zoella280390
Zoe's vlog channel is: morezoella
&
Zoe's blog URL is: http://www.zoella.co.uk/

Last but not least, I have Elle and Blair Fowler's blog!  If you're into beauty in fashion (which you probably are since you're reading my blog!) then you've probably heard of them before!  They're two sisters from Tennessee who starting making beauty and fashion videos on YouTube for fun.  Eventually their viewers went up, they moved to LA and now they're extremely successful!  They're both so gorgeous and they have some really amazing makeup and hair tutorials and great fashion ideas!  Both of their tastes in fashion are stellar!!! After they became pretty popular they started a blog together where they write about their lives, beauty and fashion tips, tricks, and ideas, and also some organization tips too!  Definitely go check them out if you haven't already because they're truly amazing! After all, they are the two girls that inspired Lilly and I to start this blog together!  We both loooove their blog so we figured since we're basically sisters, we should start a blog together like theirs!  I appreciate their dedication to their viewers and readers and I really look up to both of them and aspire to be like them <3

Elle and Blair's blog URL is: www.elleandblair.com
Elle's main YouTube channel is: AllThatGlitters21
Elle's vlog channel is: ellesglittergossip
&
Blair's main YouTube channel is: juicystar07
Blair's vlog channel is: otherjuicystar07

So I hope you enjoyed this post!  I seriously recommend checking out all 3 of these blogs cause I can't stress how fabulous they all are enough!  Comment below with any of your favorite bloggers! :3

Also, one of my best friends, Carolina (Caro-LEE-nuh ;) ) just started a beauty and fashion blog as well! Her URL is: http://carolinaelizafashionandbeauty.blogspot.com/  so go check her out cause she's just starting and she deserves more readers!

I hope you all have an exquisite week! <3

New Layout & More!

Hello sunshine! :3

So you might've noticed there have have been a couple changes to our blog! First off, the layout is COMPLETELY different!  We did love the bows, but that theme wouldn't allow us to put in 3 columns which started becoming a problem when we added more gadgets!  Here everything we've changed....

  • Background! (If you have any suggestions about it, please tell us!)
  • "Profile Picture" (The last one was really old!)
  • "About Us" description
  • Social network links! (We made a facebook page! Go and like it if you please :))
  • Page tabs at the top of the site to separate our beauty, fashion, and every posts
  • A chat box! (Personal favorite addition. We can talk to you guys without you having to comment on posts! Pleaaase let us know if you have any requests, suggestions, or helpful feedback! Or if you just wanna say hi c:)
  • Members button! (Now we can become blog friends and follow each others blogs!)
  • SPARKLE CURSORRRR!!
  • Finally, our favicon! It's now an adorable pink bow! <3
Welll, we just wanted to give you a quick layout update so there's no confusion!  We love blogging for you guys, so thank you SO much for reading our blog!  It means a ton to us and we get so excited to see comments and views! You're all such lovely people <3

More posts coming up soooon! *happy dance*

Best Packing Trick EVER!

Herrrrrrrro from a sleepy Rae flying 38,941 feet in the sky! :3

Once again, I'm taking advantage of a 5h airplane ride (and free wifi) and writing a post for you guys! I'm super excited about this one because it is by far the most useful traveling trick I've ever come across! Aaaaaand it just happens to be absolute perfect timing since spring break is just around the corner! I'm going to apologize in advance for the terrible picture quality. I used an iPad to take all of the pictures since my phone is swimming in the Sea of Cortez in Mexico, but I promise that after this post I'll be back at home and I'll start using my Canon T1i which has very good quality. Anyways, I'm rambling so lets get started :)

So in this post, I'm going to share the ultimate packing secret with you guys. This glorious secret iiiiiiis...... *drumroll* ............ How to pack for a 10+ day trip with just a carry-on sized suitcase!!!! This trick has a secret ingredient which is none other than a pillow case... Yes, a pillowcase. You'll understand very soon, don't worry ;) Packing everything into a carry-on luggage saves money, and it's much easier to navigate the airport with a tiny suitcase instead of lugging around a huge one!

To give you the idea of how much you can fit into a carry-on, I too, a picture of all the clothing I took with me; 15 shirts, 2 tank tops, 4 dresses, 4 pairs of shorts, 1 skirt, 1 pair of legging, 3 swimsuits, 4 pairs of shoes (you have to wear one in the airport so I actually took 5), 2 pj shorts, 2 spandex shorts, and my makeup bag! That was actually way too much for the trip I went on, but that just goes to show you how much can fit in there!

So the big secret is rolling your shirts into a pillowcase. It sounds kinda weird but I promise you, it works! The first thing your going to want to do is lay all of your shirts flat on top of each other like so. (I didn't include my more casual t-shirts) Try to make them as flat as possible to get the best results.

This next step is a bit tricky. You're going to want to pull all of your shirts into the pillowcase by gently easing the shirts inside. To do this, grab all of your shirts from the top and pull until you reach the end of the pillowcase. Once you've done this, try to flatten out the shirts as much as possible. Then, tightly roll the pillowcase from the bottom so you create a "burrito".

Repeat the "burrito" process with your dresses (if you have any) by folding them in half (length wise) and rolling down from top to bottom. Fold your shorts in half so they're nice and flat on top of each other and do the same with pj's or any extra t-shirts.

Finally, pack your items like so!

On the larger side of you case:

Put your shirt burrito length wise on the left

Lay your shorts/leggings flat next to the shirt burrito

Place your dress burrito on top of your shorts (try to flatten it out a bit)

Stack your pjs and extra shirts sideways on the bottom, and your makeup bag on top of them.

On the left portion of the case:

Pack your underwear, bras, tank tops, and flat shoes in the biggest pocket. Make sure you pack your shoes with the bottoms up so you don't get anything dirty!

And last but not least, put your swimsuits and left over items in the remaining pockets :)

So I hope this helped you guys out because it has DEFINITELY helped me a ton! If you have extra items you want to bring, use a big purse to keep books, electronic devices, etc. in. Once again, I apologize for the the terrible quality but it will change very soon, I promise!

Thanks for reading and comment below is you have any packing tricks cause I'd looove to hear them! :)

Rae

Spring O.O.T.D. !!!

Hola from Mexicooo!

I'm still in Mexico, but I thought 'd show you guys one of my OOTD's I wore when I went out to eat at a restaurant ON THE BEACH. Lie, our tables was on the sand next to the water!  If you ever happen to be in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, I highly recommend taking a trip downtown and going to eat at The Office! Anyways, since it was night and a bit colder, I thought this outfit would work for spring on a warmish day.  I'm starting to ramble solo lets get started!!!
*
*
*
Here's the outfit!  I personally think it's super cute and let me tell you, it's soooo comfortable!  If you're going anywhere on a beach for spring break, this is perfect for nighttime walks on the beach!  To get this look you'll need:

  1. A warm knit sweater!  I bought mine from target and it's super soft and warm :)
  2. Light wash high waisted shorts!  These ones I actually made!  I went to a local thrift shop, found some ugly mom jeans that looked like they had some potential, and cut and rolled them to make these adorable vintage-looking shorts!  Of course you can buy high waisted shorts, but they're usually really expensive so I definitely recommend making your own!  It only cost be about $5! :O
  3. I wore a triple chain rustic gold necklace but any gold tinted necklace that isn't too fancy will do!
  4. I'm barefoot in the picture because that's how I was most of the night but I would either pair this with flip flops to keep it super casual or brown oxfords to dress it up a little bit. Bare footed is the way to go in my opinion ;)
  5. I wore my hair naturally and I had a very natural makeup look as well, but you can do whatever you like! :)
So that was my OOTD!  I hope you guys enjoyed it :)  Comment with any suggestions you have for posts!  I have another spring break related post coming up as well so be on the lookout for that!  Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram to get the latest updates from us!
Have a fabulous day!

XOXO,
Rae

P.S.
Sorry for the bad quality!  I took it on my phone and tried to edit it but I think it just made it worse... At least you can get the general idea!

Single On Valentine's Day? Not A Problem!

Hey loves!

So as you all know, Valentines Day is tomorrow!  You may not have a special someone to share it with, but I assure you, you can have just as fabulous a day on your own or with a couple girl friends!  Here are a couple ideas for you! ;*

1.   A super fun and girly idea is treating yourself to an at-home spa day!  There are hundreds of different DIY face mask recipes you can find on Pinterest of Google! Paint your nails too while you're at it!  (If you'd like, I could do a post on some of my favorite masks :))  You can either do this with a couple of girlfriends or on your own, which can be just as fun!

                      outdoor movie nights
 2.   Even though this picture is outside, you can create a very similar set up in your basement or bedroom!  Movie nights are sooo fun and there are so many different themes you can have!  You can watch some romantic films in honor of vday like The Notebook, you could watch some classic chick flicks like Mean Girls or A Cinderella Story, you can have a classic Disney movie marathon and watch all of your favorite princess movies, or you could watch some Audrey Hepburn classics like Breakfast At Tiffany's or Sabrina!  Whatever you decide, movie nights are a great way to have a spectacular night!  Once again, you can do this on your own, or with some girl friends! :)

Valentines Cookie Stacks from BigBearsWife.com @bigbearswife

3.  If you're feeling creative, go ahead and make yourself some valentine-themed treats!  I found this picture on Pinterest and it's such a cute and simple idea!  All you need if your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe (you can do any type of cookie you'd like!), you can make your own frosting or you can buy some from the grocery store, and last but not least, you'll need some adorable heart sprinkles!

                                       Pink Bubble Bath

4.   Take a bubble bath!  Luscious, pink bubbles are the best way to go.  Settle down in clouds of pink with a good book and take a couple moments to forget everything else and just relax.

I hope you enjoyed these fun Valentine's Day ideas and I wish you all the very best holiday!

XOXO,
Rae

Friday Favorite!

Hey guys!

I'm sorry I haven't really been able to post too much, but my schedule has been absolutely craaaazy!  It's that wonderful time of the year :)  Anyways, today I'm gonna do a quick post about a favorite of mine this week!  I actually only purchased this product today but I absolutely love it already!  And this wonderful product iiiiiiis.....

Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB Cream!  If you're unfamiliar with BB cream, if stands for Beauty Balm and it blurs imperfections, brightens, evens skin-tone, smoothes, hydrates, enhances, protects with SPF 30, and contains 0% oils and heavy ingredients!  So basically, magic in a bottle ;)  Personally, I HATE wearing foundation because of the way it feels on my face and with tons of acne that's probably not the best thing!  But I can promise you that this feels like there's nothing on your face!  It gives very good coverage for being so light and it goes on very smoothly!  I've had it on for most of the day and it still feels and looks great!  And the very best part, it's only $9 and you can find it at any local drugstore!  I deeeefinitely recommend this product so let me know if you already have it

XOXO, Rae

My Everyday Makeup Bag

Hey Beauties!

So this is going to be a quick look into the items that I bring to school with me every day. I'll start with the products that I use every day and then finish with some of the products that vary depending on the day. Here we go....

First off I have a pocket mirror, this one I picked up from Forever 21

Next I have lipbalms, one is the EOS lip balm in mint and a CoBigelow lipbalm in mentha from Bath and Body Works.

Next I have hair ties and bobby pins, I always gravitate toward buying ties and pins that match my natural hair color (dark brown) but any color, size, or shape will work

The next thing that I keep with me are band-aids! I picked up some super cute ones from Forever 21 and threw them in my bag

The next thing I keep with me is a Creamy Pumpkin hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works, I always try to have a Pocketbac with me but it usually varies from season to season and since its Fall right now this one is perfect!

The next thing that I keep with me are Tea Tree Blotting Tissues from The Body Shop. I generally use these after Lunch since its the middle of the day and its a great way to refresh for my afternoon classes!

The next thing that I keep with me is a Covergirl Pressed Powder that is perfect for touch ups

The next item that I keep is a Revlon Photo Ready cover up

The next thing that I have is an automatic eyeliner from Ulta. The color that I prefer to use is black, but Ulta has many colors and all in all this is one of my favorite non liquid liners.

The next thing that I keep in my bag is L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes.

The next thing that I keep in my bag usually changes every day, however my 'every day' look usually includes either a Wet n Wild trio in 'Walking On Eggshells' of a Revlon quad in 'Addictive'

                           'Walking On Eggshells'                                         'Addictive'

The last thing that I keep in my bag also changes day to day but one of the ones that I've been keeping with me recently is a lip gloss tube from Bath and Body Works called 'All I Want Is Your Peppermint Hug' it's a seasonal lip gloss but since we're in the holiday season I've been using it like crazy.

So that's what I keep in my bag with me, nothing to out of the ordinary but just the things that I can pull out between classes to touch up my make up!

XOXO Lilly
