♡ Spring/Summer Outfit Ideas! ♡

Hello my lovelies!
Today I'm gonna be showing you guys a few Spring/Summer pastel themed outfits I put together on Polyvore!  So this is a bit random but I hope you enjoy because I love making sets on Polyvore, it's sooo fun! I'm also absolutely adoring pastels so these outfits consist of mostly pastel themed pieces which is definitely trending right now.  'Tis the season for pastels! :)

"Pretty Pastels" by bellabelle9711 on Polyvore

This first outfit is definitely much dressier than the others but I think something similar to this would be perfect for Easter!  Sometimes my family will go out for a nice dinner on Easter and this look has Easter written all over it!  It's very simple, yet classy and very feminine.  My favorite part of this set are the nail polishes! I'm a huge nail polish junkie and these color are absolute PERFECTION.

"Casual Pastel" by bellabelle9711 on Polyvore

This next outfit is super cute and casual.  I'd wear something like this if I was going to the mall with friends or just hanging out!  This might be a bit colorful for some of you, but I personally love it and think it's such a fun outfit!  I'm absolutely in love with this cat sweater because I love cats more than anything (mine is currently curled up next to me c:).

"Beach Casual" by bellabelle9711 on Polyvore

The last outfit is another casual one and I think this is my favorite out of all 3!  This would be perfect for going on an exciting summer adventure with a few friends.  Wearing your hair in a messy bun gives it a super laid back feel but all of the pink feminine touches help balance it out!  My favorite part of this set are definitely the pink heart sunnies :3

I hope you enjoyed this quick post!!!  If you're feeling up to it, leave a comment telling me which outfit is your personal favorite :))

Happy Spring Break!!

Rae

Spring O.O.T.D. !!!

Hola from Mexicooo!

I'm still in Mexico, but I thought 'd show you guys one of my OOTD's I wore when I went out to eat at a restaurant ON THE BEACH. Lie, our tables was on the sand next to the water!  If you ever happen to be in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, I highly recommend taking a trip downtown and going to eat at The Office! Anyways, since it was night and a bit colder, I thought this outfit would work for spring on a warmish day.  I'm starting to ramble solo lets get started!!!

Here's the outfit!  I personally think it's super cute and let me tell you, it's soooo comfortable!  If you're going anywhere on a beach for spring break, this is perfect for nighttime walks on the beach!  To get this look you'll need:

  1. A warm knit sweater!  I bought mine from target and it's super soft and warm :)
  2. Light wash high waisted shorts!  These ones I actually made!  I went to a local thrift shop, found some ugly mom jeans that looked like they had some potential, and cut and rolled them to make these adorable vintage-looking shorts!  Of course you can buy high waisted shorts, but they're usually really expensive so I definitely recommend making your own!  It only cost be about $5! :O
  3. I wore a triple chain rustic gold necklace but any gold tinted necklace that isn't too fancy will do!
  4. I'm barefoot in the picture because that's how I was most of the night but I would either pair this with flip flops to keep it super casual or brown oxfords to dress it up a little bit. Bare footed is the way to go in my opinion ;)
  5. I wore my hair naturally and I had a very natural makeup look as well, but you can do whatever you like! :)
So that was my OOTD!  I hope you guys enjoyed it :)  Comment with any suggestions you have for posts!  I have another spring break related post coming up as well so be on the lookout for that!  Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram to get the latest updates from us!
Have a fabulous day!

XOXO,
Rae

P.S.
Sorry for the bad quality!  I took it on my phone and tried to edit it but I think it just made it worse... At least you can get the general idea!

20 Dollar Makeup Challenge

Hey Beauties!

So one of our favorite make up tags that has been circulating on youtube has been the 20 dollar makeup challenge. The rules are pretty simple, you must purchase everything for your completed look (tools included!) for under 20 dollars. Rach and I did this together and the look we came up with is a simple, every day look that can be used all the time. The products that we gathered weren't all found in the same place but these product lines are carried mainly by drug stores, such as Walgreens or CVS and one of our favorite stores, Ulta! Anything else can be found online and will be indicated below as to where we got them, enjoy!

So to start out with a foundation I used the Ulta brand Fabulous Face Illuminating Foundation in Classic Ivory for 2.99 at Ulta. Apply the foundation to your face using your fingers, working the foundation for sheer, to full coverage.

Now for the eyes! I picked the Rimmel London eyeshadow trio in Orion. I took the largest coppery color and applied it to my lids using my finger and then used the applicating sponge that came with the trio to apply the matte brown color to my crease. Then to finish it off I used my ring finger to work the white into my brow bone.

Next for the eyeliner. The eye line I chose, I found on sale at Ulta for .99 cents. This is the Essence eyeliner in Black 01. It is a simple black eye pencil that can be used in many various ways. I used it simply to line my upper and lower lash lines in black.

Next to finish off the eyes with mascara! The mascara that I found is the ELF 3-in-1 mascara in black for 3.00 found either on line at www.eyeslipsface.com or most Target stores.  This mascara is one ELFs newest mascaras and both lengthens and volumizes lashes. I applied from the base of the lashes to the tips also applying the mascara to the lower lashes.

The next step for my everyday makeup look is the blush and bronzer. I used the Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder duo from ELF that can also be found at www.eyeslipsface.com or Target stores for 3.00. This blush and bronzer I applied by pressing the powder to your pointer and middle fingers and then working the blush onto the apples of your cheek. The same can be done with the bronzer.

Finally to finish off my everyday makeup look I decided on a NYX round lipstick in Indian Pink. I can not express to you how much I love these lipsticks, they're only 3.99 and can be found either on line and at Ulta stores. Indian Pink is a sleek pink that is an easy light weight lipstick that won't smudge or crack.

So that's it for our 20 dollar makeup challenge! Leave a comment below and let us know what you think, or tell us your 20 dollar make up look!

Simple Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello lovelies!

First off, I wanna say sorry for not posting at all.  I guess I just kind of forgot about posting with all of the crazy holiday business going on and the beginning of my dance competition season!  I'm gonna make a goal to start posting more often now :)

*
*
*
So over the holidays, I was gifted the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette on my birthday and I love it SO MUCH.  It honestly such an amazing palette and I highly recommend it!  It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it if you're looking for a good palette!  I also adore the lip gloss and the brush that came with it!
*
*
*
This look is very natural, quick, and easy, and it's perfect for an everyday look when you don't have much time to spend on doing your makeup!  I only used 2 shadows, Bootycall (a shimmery champagne color) and Chopper (a nice sparkling copper).  You don't need the palette to achieve the look, any champagne and copper colored shadows will do!

  1. First things first, you're going to want to put on on an eyeshadow primer to keep your shadows on all day long!  My personal favorites are Two Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Primer Potion :)
  2. Using a flat shadow brush (or your ring finger which works just as well), spread Bootycall all over your lid. This shadow also works as a highlighting color so also place some in the inner corner of your eye and beneath your brow bone to brighten up your eyes!
  3. Next, blend Chopper into your crease and outer corner.  I also like to blend some onto the outer half of my lid as well to make sure there aren't any harsh line and the shadow fades nicely :)
  4. If you want a more natural look, finish off by lightly lining your eyes with a brown eyeshadow, a bit of mascara and some neutral lip gloss.  If you want to spice it up a bit, apply some black liquid liner (I like to wing mine), a couple coats of mascara, and luscious red lips!

I hope you enjoyed this super simple and quick eye tutorial!  Be on the look out for more posts coming soon :)

XOXO,
Rae

Sentsational!

Hey Beauties!

I don't know about you but I never quite feel like my morning routine is complete until I put on my favorite perfume. Now I haven't always felt like this but within the past few years I have become more and more inclined to wearing my favorite scents. About a year ago I received a sample of Marc Jacobs Daisy and instantly fell in love with it. I had some reservations about purchasing this perfume because it is quite pricey. So I have been saving since Christmas and I finally bought it!

Not only is the scent great but I also love the bottle. These are just two of the things to consider while looking for a new scent. Since higher end perfumes to tend to run more expensive there are some things to remember while shopping around for a new perfume. If you go to most department stores they will have samples of their best selling perfumes. I like to try the perfume on first and if I don't love it the first time I smell it I'll move on and come back to it. Once you find a smell that you love instantly take a sample and use it until its gone. I wouldn't suggest buying a perfume without wearing it around for a while because why commit to a scent you may not like throughout the seasons :)
Happy Hunting!

Friday Favorite!

Hey guys!

I'm sorry I haven't really been able to post too much, but my schedule has been absolutely craaaazy!  It's that wonderful time of the year :)  Anyways, today I'm gonna do a quick post about a favorite of mine this week!  I actually only purchased this product today but I absolutely love it already!  And this wonderful product iiiiiiis.....

Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB Cream!  If you're unfamiliar with BB cream, if stands for Beauty Balm and it blurs imperfections, brightens, evens skin-tone, smoothes, hydrates, enhances, protects with SPF 30, and contains 0% oils and heavy ingredients!  So basically, magic in a bottle ;)  Personally, I HATE wearing foundation because of the way it feels on my face and with tons of acne that's probably not the best thing!  But I can promise you that this feels like there's nothing on your face!  It gives very good coverage for being so light and it goes on very smoothly!  I've had it on for most of the day and it still feels and looks great!  And the very best part, it's only $9 and you can find it at any local drugstore!  I deeeefinitely recommend this product so let me know if you already have it

XOXO, Rae

Fall/Winter Favorites!

Hello my lovelies!

When the weather starts to get chilly, the leaves change color, and it's acceptable to start buying hot drink at starbucks, it means that it's finally my favorite time of year!  There's nothing I love more than the holiday seasons!  The only thing that can almost compare to my love for the holidays is my love for fall/winter fashion.  So, obviously, today I'm going to be talking about my favorite fall and winter favorites!  There's definitely a lot to cover so I'll get started...

My absolute FAVORITE fall/winter fashion trend is sweaters!!!  I adore them in all shape, sizes, wacky prints, and colors!  It's so easy to throw on a cute sweater, some leggings, and moccasins when you're in a hurry.  You'll be warm, comfortable, and you'll still look super cute!  I usually buy mine a couple sizes bigger than what I'd normally wear :)

 knit scarves <3
Sometimes when it's really cold out, you'll need more than just a sweater.  I think knit scarves are an adorable way to stay nice and toasty warm while adding a pop of color or some texture to your look!  I'm a huge fan of infinite scarves but I will also always love a classic knit scarf :)

Gabriela Artigas rings. Small and dainty and beautiful...but pricey.
Since it can be hard to accessorize when you're wearing a big sweater, I've been loving small, dainty rings!  They can add such a simple feminine touch to any outfit.  I have a couple and I wear them constantly!

In the beginning of autumn, I purchased a pair of brown combat boots at target and I've basically been LIVING in them ever since!  They're so cute and comfortable and they go perfectly with all of my favorite sweaters!

Those are my fashion favorites so now it's time for beauty favorites!

Personally, I'm not a big lipstick wearer, but I think that gorgeous dark red and burgundy shades like this one are perfect for fall!  This color by Nars called Autumn Leaves (literally meant for fall!) is one of the many beautiful lip colors out there that will instantly make your lips pop!

Natural eye makeup
When wearing such bold lip colors, a natural eye look similar to this one will help you complete the perfect fall look!  You'll want to stay as natural as possible with the shadows (try only using matte shadows) and use a nice lengthening mascara.  This is my go to eye look all year round!

Hair bow
Last but not least, one of my favorite hairstyles!  Hair bows are the perfect way to add a touch of girlyness to your usual hairstyle!  They look complicated, but they're actually really easy to do and it only takes a couple minutes!  If you can't figure it out, you can just clip in a cute satin bow and you're ready to go!

So that tops off my fall/winter fashion and beauty favorites!  I hope you guys enjoyed!  Feel free to send us any request at lillyrae24@gmail.com or comment below. :)  Thanks for reading!

My Everyday Makeup Bag

Hey Beauties!

So this is going to be a quick look into the items that I bring to school with me every day. I'll start with the products that I use every day and then finish with some of the products that vary depending on the day. Here we go....

First off I have a pocket mirror, this one I picked up from Forever 21

Next I have lipbalms, one is the EOS lip balm in mint and a CoBigelow lipbalm in mentha from Bath and Body Works.

Next I have hair ties and bobby pins, I always gravitate toward buying ties and pins that match my natural hair color (dark brown) but any color, size, or shape will work

The next thing that I keep with me are band-aids! I picked up some super cute ones from Forever 21 and threw them in my bag

The next thing I keep with me is a Creamy Pumpkin hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works, I always try to have a Pocketbac with me but it usually varies from season to season and since its Fall right now this one is perfect!

The next thing that I keep with me are Tea Tree Blotting Tissues from The Body Shop. I generally use these after Lunch since its the middle of the day and its a great way to refresh for my afternoon classes!

The next thing that I keep with me is a Covergirl Pressed Powder that is perfect for touch ups

The next item that I keep is a Revlon Photo Ready cover up

The next thing that I have is an automatic eyeliner from Ulta. The color that I prefer to use is black, but Ulta has many colors and all in all this is one of my favorite non liquid liners.

The next thing that I keep in my bag is L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes.

The next thing that I keep in my bag usually changes every day, however my 'every day' look usually includes either a Wet n Wild trio in 'Walking On Eggshells' of a Revlon quad in 'Addictive'

                           'Walking On Eggshells'                                         'Addictive'

The last thing that I keep in my bag also changes day to day but one of the ones that I've been keeping with me recently is a lip gloss tube from Bath and Body Works called 'All I Want Is Your Peppermint Hug' it's a seasonal lip gloss but since we're in the holiday season I've been using it like crazy.

So that's what I keep in my bag with me, nothing to out of the ordinary but just the things that I can pull out between classes to touch up my make up!

XOXO Lilly
